When I click on Start > Programs, 3 columns of programs are displayed. But that is only about half of my programs. Can't find a way to see more than the 3 columns. Haven't been able to find a way to move past the 3rd column.

    Thanks for your help.

What version of W10 are you running?
When I click on Start > I don't see Programs to click on??
On all my PC's, Start opens one column only.

I notice on your Profile that you are running W7. Maybe this is why it doesn't show in W10!! :oops:o_O

I'm trying to wrap my head around what your experiencing. I have two computers, a DeskTop running 10 Pro and a LapTop running 10 Home, both version 1909 without addons for the start menu.

A click on "start" brings a single column with all my programs in alphabetical order. There are links and expandable folders with links.

A right-click on "start" brings other options.

I have no links attached to the start menu.

    See the attached screenshot.

Could you post a screenshot of your start menu?

Does doing this completely fill up your monitor by any chance? If so, you'd have to adjust your resolution....

Attached is a pdf file showing my start menu. I am using latest version of Windows 10 (just downloaded few days ago). Your screenshot looks like you are using the Windows 10 start page. I am using a Windows 7 view. The article in my last post tells you how to do this. I am not familiar with the Windows versions you mention.

It's the most recent version, 1909, and the default start menu.

(By "10 Pro" and "10 Home" I refer to Windows versions.)

    Each to his own.
I have been using W10 since it was first introduced (3 Desktops and 2 Laptops) and find the W10 Start Menu is very easy to follow.
The introduction of Tiles upset many users but you can Delete that or reduce it's size if you don't like/want it.
MS have been taking notice of user comments and the latest Version 1909 shows that.
The "Insider" version is where newer ideas are tested and there have been subtle changes tried in the Start menu before introduction in the seasonal upgrades.
Why not try the W10 Start menu?

Get rid of the Win 7 view and I believe you will solve your problem.
