This is a weird problem I have never seen before. Here's a sample of batch commands with which this problem is happening:

    XCopy "\\Shop\E\BackupX\DriveD\*.*" "\\Alex\E\BackupX\DriveD\"
    XCopy "\\Shop\E\Original\OS\Windows\*.*" "\\Alex\E\Original\OS\Windows\"

When the batch is run from the Alex or Shop computer, files are always copied to drive C and the destination drive specified in the command line is ignored.

I found the cause of the problem; I had not properly defined permissions when sharing drive E:.

Glad you got it fixed. I know how that is. Flashing red lights with arrows pointing at the problem and to much in a hurry to see stuff. ;):D

What still seems strange to me is that files were actually defaulting to the system drive/partition. That makes no sense to me. What should have happened is that it should have returned an error message with words to the effect that the destination is not accessible.

    I'll call Bill.
