Resolved Feature update to Windows 10, version 1903 - Error 0x80070015

    For some reason my 2nd Laptop Acer 5740 will not allow Windows 10 updates, the latest being Version 1903... I keep getting failed attempts day after day. This also applied to earlier updates. I've tried several solutions but none have worked. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Trouble shooting Windows Update shows no errors.

    Are you upgrading from the Windows Update or through a downloaded Windows 10 ver 1903 ISO ?

    This will bypass version 1903 since version 1909 is the most recent.

    Go to Download Windows 10 and choose to "Create Windows 10 installation media" and "Download tool now". Let it create a USB-device as installation media.

    Backup everything you'd hate to lose!

    Run the installation from within Windows 10, conncected to the internet.

    The default option is to keep personal files and programs so, if you don't change anything, nothing bad should happen.

    Thanks Christer, I used Windows Assistant to upgrade to the lasted Windows 10.... I was worried at first as no chance to save anything... it said all my files and programs would stay where they were. It took a long while but it appears to work just fine. Everything came back where it was and I now have Version 1909 installed. . C:\Windows10Upgrade\Windows10UpgraderApp.exe in where I downloaded it from. I had previously saved it on my desktop and clicked on it to see what it was... lo and behold it started and all looks just great.... much to my relief as I had no chance to back-up anything :) Thanks again
