Hi, I have this issue of Thunderbird not responding when opening emails and moving around it just hangs and then works and then hangs. Very frustrating. I have deleted and re-built msf files. Made exception in anti-virus, ran Ccleaner, changed various server settings as outlined by Mozilla and nothing seems to be helping. Any suggestions???

    More info required.
    What OS are you running?
What version and build if W10?
    What version of Thunderbird?

You are behind with W10 as 1903 & (1909) latest version. I would advise Updating to the latest.
TB is up to date. Then see if you have the same problem.

Well, it seems I have the problem back again. I marked this as resolved as it appeared to have been after following the recommendation for updating windows 10. But the "
not responding" is back again. Everything I click on within Thunderbird email, slowly processes and comes up with the "Not Responding" message. It eventually finds what it is looking for. I am thinking of upgrading to Outlook but don't want to unless there is no other option. It makes dealing with emails unpleasant as everything takes so long. I am not sure how to change a message from resolved back to un-resolved, or if I just need to start a new one.

What Broadband connection are you running?
How much web traffic is on your line?
Has your ISP throttled back the broadband speed?
Have you run Malwarebytes to see if you have any corruptions?
Also just had another thought - is TB doing another job?
If TB is downloading older mail it could be the problem.
