    (sorta) self-destruct?
Came down this AM, found computer off.
OK, so I push start and it tells me boot mgr is missing.
No sweat, restart/esc/reset boot mgr to hard drive, reboot and it's as if I had just installed WIN10 clean. None of my programs on desktop, and few accessible except thru command line entries.

Did Microshaft have a major emetic incident to celebrate the time shift?

Nope. All 6 W10 computers here handled the time change with no problems. And I have not received any panicky phone calls from any of my friends, neighbors, family or clients (yet - it's only 8:30am here) either.

So not sure what happened with your computer. It could be a sign your drive is thinking about giving up the ghost. I hope you have a current backup.

Sounds like your User Profile got corrupted. I bet all your files are still there.

Only two states do not change time, Arizona and Hawaii. I also agree with MrBill, could be a sign that your HD is failing. Time change should not affect that or cause the computer to turn off.

True but as jholland just beat me to it, only Arizona and Hawaii (and a few overseas territories) don't.

I note there is a push that is gaining ground to put and keep the entire US on daylight saving time all year round. I personally would be for it.

Oh, BTW - it is Daylight Saving Time, not Savings.

I honestly don't care which time would be chosen, I just hate changing time period! I live in Indiana and for many years our state did not change time, we stayed on EST year round until 2006 when the entire state began obvserving Daylight Saving Time...BUT...we have 92 counties and in 1972 our Legislature placed 12 (NW & SW corners) of those counties in the Central Time zone and the remaining 80 on Eastern Time. Both zones change to Daylight Saving Time but because they are in different time zones those counties on Central Time don't keep the same time as some of the counties right next door.

Years ago the city where my husbands family lived of course observed the same time as the rest of the state, EST, BUT his father worked for the railroad and he had to observe Railroad Time which for his railroad was St. Louis time and was Central time + St. Louis also observed DST so one half of the year his father was one hour behind the rest of his house and city, and the other one half of the year they were on the same time. When talking "time" the entire family used the expression "railroad time".
