Solved Win32/VigorfA found on my laptop

    Since we're done, I do have a question or two.

    (1) Do you think that I ever was infected with a trojan? There is no harm in making sure my computer is clean, even if it was probable that Windows Defender got a false positive here, but I am wondering.

    (2) And if you think it was very likely that I was infected, how likely was it that it was from the OpenShell download? I got this message a few minutes after installing the program, and I realize that this doesn't mean that OpenShell was the culprit, but it is easy to draw the lines.

    Fair enough.

    Oh one last question. I see you advised Sophos AV cleaner.

    My maintenance regimen is to run Windows Defender 24/7, and then do a monthly scan with Malwarebytes. Do you think Sophos is a better candidate for this job as a secondary scanner, than MWB? Or did you just suggest Sophos, b/c you knew that I already scanned with MWB?

    You can use occasionally as a second scan.
