Okay. So I bought an open box computer at a big box retailer. It came with W10 Home which I did not see as a problem.

The setup went fine until I signed into OneDrive, and that was painless enough until I noticed it is storing a copy of the online files in the Documents folder of the system.

So far, I'm not able to figure out how to get OneDrive to keep the files only online, and not put a duplicate in Documents.

It may be that I need to tell OneDrive to put them somewhere else, but whatever box I have to check has gotten by me.

    Help, please.

    Thanks in advance,

    Rick

Thanks. I've read the article and hope to have a plan in place when I get back to work in town on Monday.

I have to confess that I really like Dropbox more than I do OneDrive, but using both I've been able to keep my personal and work stuff nicely separated.

That said, DB syncs more efficiently and more quickly across the several computers that I use at home and at work. Depending on how a shift will impact my smartphone storage, I may end up just moving everything to Dropbox (which also works well on the smartphone).

Sign me "still working on it; back later with a report."

i prefer Google drive because you can have MyDrive PLUS backup / sync of selected folders in the PC.
