I've always done previous version upgrades manually from a USB-stick created by the Media Creation Tool.

The current version 1809 was updated today (KB4497934) without errors.

    The error code is 0x800703E6 - 0x40003

    Any ideas?

I downloaded the ISO-file to the actual computer and the installer is running the upgrade as I type this response. My conclusion is that a USB-stick can not be used due to the installer (from version 1903) no longer accepts such devices being connected during the upgrade.

The installation completed without problems. Afterwards, three updates to Win 10, .NET Framework and Adobe FlashPlayer installed without a problem.

After the install with the newer updates - does your OS Build read 18362.145?

    Yes, it does.

Four updates were installed after the upgrade, KB4505057, KB4495620, KB4497932 and KB4497935 (the last one came after my previous post).

Strangely, KB4505057 was installed twice ... ... but everything works fine!

Christer, The KB4497935 is the one that fixes 'bugs' that were found in the 1903 upgrade and makes it Build 18362.145. BOBBO posted about this.

Yes, I read about that and 1903 was a few weeks old when I installed it which explains the other updates.

FWIW - when i was offered and installed 1903 on 1st June the build no. was 18362.145 so MS had clearly incorporated the bug fixes in the download.

I always do the upgrades off-line but had I been on-line, allowing the installer to download subsequent updates, then I guess all would have been "checked and ticked".

I did not receive a Win 10 cumulative update after installing 1903, just .NET & Flash - hence my comment as above :)

Okey, but you did the deed on-line, right? I assume that the installer would download updates for Windows but not .NET and FlashPlayer.

Update.JPG I updated through Windows Update on line - bug fix not shown ib Installed Updates, but build no is correct so assume the bug fix was incorporated into the main download.
