I am telling you Bobby, easiest program I have ever used in my life cause you truly don't have to do anything with it except every couple weeks check for updates. It doesn't update often so don't panic if there aren't any. But if they have one, take it, enable all protection and close it and forget it. You will not even know it is there. Promise!

JL, sorry for another question, what do you do to Restricted sites? I have perused through the list and none apply to me. Thanks.

Leave it alone. Just check for updates and enable all protection. Then close the program and check back in a week or 2 for more updates. If any, download them and enable protection and then CLOSE THE PROGRAM.

Bobby, come on, what did I tell you? You do NOTHING. Let the program do the work. You need to Enable ALL, meaning the program WILL Automatically protect ALL of your computer. and this also means Restricted Sites. Even if you don't think they apply to you...they MIGHT without you knowing. I will tell you, each and every one of those sites are KNOWN to be very, very dangerous. You could go to any one of them by mistake and these sites ALL are known to exploit computers and download dangerous software. SpywareBlaster BLOCKS these so your computer cannot be damaged. Please do as recommended. If you aren't going to use the program as directed then there is no point of having it on your computer.

Mr Bill, it is very good of you to point me in a safe direction. Install the program and leave it as it is and remain in safe mode. I believe, ask a question and the answer be carried out, if not why ask the question in the first place.

I know of that you say to install SpyBlaster and forget it. Can you tell me, [ ] Restricted Sites Protection, default shows the box as unticked? It does say if to uncheck boxes of sites to disable protection. Do I check the Box Restricted Sites Protection or not or do as you said "Do nothing"? I do like SpywareBlaster and will use it.

One more time. You do NOTHING. I have told you and so has jholland. What is in there is done when you update and then click on ENABLE PROTECTION.
Have you ever fell out of bed? This program is easier to use than falling out of bed.
If you are told to do something by somebody on here, why do you question them over and over as to why to do it. I understand wanting to learn, but there is a limit to what a persons brain will hold. :)

Agreed. Bobby, we have given you every bit of information that we know about this program and how to use it. Both Bill and I have used this program since it was first released in 2002.That is 17 years!
The empty boxes are NOT the default option, the boxes are empty the very first time because protection has not been enabled because the user must choose to accept full protection
Both Bill and I have told you Multiple times. Click ENABLE ALL PROTECTION and every empty box will then have a check mark in it because it is done automatically by the program when you tell it to protect you. Why would we tell you to download a top of the line protection program if you refuse to follow our instructions??? How many times do we have to give the very same instructions? We both have given you the same identical instructions at least 6 times. Check for updates, Download Update, Click ENABLE ALL PROTECTION, Close the program and forget it. Why would you have a protection program on your computer but not allow it to protect? That doesn't make any sense.
There are 3 steps required to use the program to get 100% protection. What is hard about that? Why don't you believe or trust us?

I'm not upset and I don't believe Judy is either. When you are offered advice, please take it do as told. I know that you can't trust everybody in the world, but you came here for answers and got them and were told what to do and still question them.

Upset? No, of course not. Disappointed maybe is a better word. It is so disappointing to offer help but not to be trusted with the advice we give. Would we tell you to do something unsafe? No of course not. Would we recommend a program that we didn't really know? Of course not. We recommended the program and both gave identical instructions on usage because we do know the program, we both have used the program for many years and have been 100% satisfied and 100% sure that it does what we say it does.
All we ask Bobby is please trust us, there is no way in a million years that either of us would steer you wrong. Promise!

Trust was never in doubt, I have been a member since November 2009, asked help on many occasions, with good advice that I have acted on, so why should I differ now. In this instance, I was rather cautious but you both put it right. I gather that neither of you are as I am 88 years of age and not so quick thinking things out. Can we just forget that perhaps, I did not trust you, this was the furthest from my mind. As things are with my computer, I do sincerely hope that you will as in the past assist me, thank you.

Of course as always we will offer help. No, I am not 88 but I sure am closer to 88 than I am to 50!
