My C drive is 80% full. I was wondering if it was ok to transfer the contents of 'Documents' to the D drive which has plenty of spare space? Thank you.

What is usually on you D drive is what was on your C drive the day you turned it on before updates and downloads. Are you sure that it has plenty of room? How much is used and what is left?

My C drive has 46.5 GB free, with the Documents folder occupying 45 GB of the drive's 219 GB. My D drive has 51 GB free of the drive's 220 GB. So, if I transferred the 45 GB Documents folder to the D drive (which would then have 5.5 GB free) I would have a C drive with 91 GB free. My thinking behind my proposal was that I might have a more efficient C drive. My computer has been taking an unusually long time to fully boot up into Windows and I thought that perhaps the C drive was a bit cramped for space and maybe causing the slow boot-up.

    Hi Lugwalker.
If your machine is taking a while to boot up because its running slowly, then following my guide that Neil, posted will help improve the performance.

Do you have a regular hard drive in your system?

If so I would honestly recommend getting an SSD as that hardware upgrade alone will improve your systems performance even more so then going through my optimization guide.

Thanks, guys. After following Evan's guide I now have 53GB free space on my hard drive, whereas before I only had 46.5GB. I'll keep in mind your suggestion, Evan, regarding the upgrade to an SSD.
