    updated to 64.0.
using comcast.net email and it will let me download and read emails but i cannot forward, reply or compose anything.
Removed firefox using REVO and did a full install - with same result.
when i try all i get is a couple arrows (centered on screen) that just rotates, forever.
If i use Edge (shutter), email works correctly.
    Ideas?

    thanks, clif

You have the wrong SMTP server settings it sounds like. Below is from Comcast. If yours is different than this, it may be fine as I have seen where different regions have different settings. You can call them and ask them.
Configure Your Email Settings to Comcast Email
    • Incoming Mail Server Name: imap.comcast.net.
    • Incoming Mail Server Port Number: Recommended: 993 with SSL ON. Only if Needed: 143 with SSL ON.
    • Outgoing Mail Server Name: smtp.comcast.net.
    • Outgoing Mail Server Port Number: Recommended: 587 (SMTP) ...
    • SSL Encryption: checked.
    • Authentication: Xfinity username and password required.

Comcast SSL SMTP server uses port 993. Thunderbird probably set it to port 465, which is the default for SSL SMTP.

Got it! I uninstalled FF completely including folders under Users> Appdata.
Then reinstalled and it fixed itself. Dont know what happened during update but.......
    I'll take it.
    Thanks for the pointers,
