    Hi,
My wife's computer, a laptop by ASUS has never worked correctly. I am done trying to fix it with software since it is somewhere in m\the Devils Domain forever.
How do I open the computer so I can rip out the Hard Drive and install a brand new one?

I used to have the cmsd command prompt info for a solution but even that is not working so ..it is best to know when I am beaten. I can only access Command Prompt on her computer at this point and I forgot what command to use to fix things like I did years ago. So please help me start over so I can at least salvage the working parts of her computer.

What model Asus laptop and how old is it?
Has W10 (? edition) worked OK at any time on the laptop.
Was it an upgrade from an earlier Windows Version?

Originally bought new in 2015..Series #X751M..1TB hard drive..8gb memory...Windows 10 factory installed by ASUS. Problems from day 1..slow and would turn itself off in the middle of an active task...not an upgraded windows 10..Never worked OK...told by ASUS to go find a repair person even tho it has..had a 12 month warranty at time of purchase. Never would give us an RMA #..Just ignored. I'll Never buy ASUS again.
