Interesting. I ran both the GUI and the Console versions of the tool and both reported my system is not vulnerable and has already been patched. But the GUI tool also said my installed Intel Capability Licensing Service Client is obsolete. The minimum required is 1.47.715.0 and to get the latest version from my system manufacturer.

I don't see it anywhere on my motherboard maker's site (Gigabyte). I decided to check my BIOS firmware version and I have F22d from Jan 2018 but that is oddly missing from the version history for my board on the webpage. So is F22e with F22f being the latest offered from March 2018.

I don't normally update BIOS firmware just because a new version is out there, but I might this time. Will have to think about it for a bit.

I just ran and got the same good result from the GUI tool test but did not get the warning about anything being obsolete. That may be because my system is pretty new, only about 4 months old.
