TT, shows only that it failed delivery. Only new mail address, this applies only to and not when using my name before the @outlook.com, only if a fictitious name is used. i.e. Jack Wilson@outlook.com. Can this be the reason? .

If you send a message to JackWukson@outlook.com and no such account for jackwislon exists then of course it will fail. Because you are sending From outlook.com and To an outlook.com address, outlook.com probably first checks to see if there really is an account for jackwilson.

Try sending to a legit address...

TT, I understand that. What I tried was to send an E-mail to the Editor@computeractive.com using the new returns address of the new setup address on my outlook.com account, as jackwilson@outlook.com and this showed failed delivery.

Bobby, I have opened an email account with Outlook and sent an email to my brother which has not been returned to me so it must have been delivered OK.
I have also sent a test email to jackwilson@outlook.com which has not been returned yet!

My brother has received the email and replied to it OK.
You must have something wrong with your Outlook setup.
Did you setup the email account as jackwilson@outlook.com?
I'm thinking that you might have to establish an account with MS under that name unless that is your MS account name already.

RL, Outlook.com account is registered in my own name, in fact two at the present each address the same name but each has a number as 11 and 111, neither cause malfunction. The new mail address added, is similar to jackwilson@outlook.com, on trying it out, caption shows as not sent, and certainly shows no trace of being delivered, as recipient should have received it. All the other three accounts responded a reply.
Sending mail using the new added mail to another address shows: "There was an error while sending your message."

You say the error caption says the mail was not sent from this new account so therefore nobody can receive a mail that was not actually sent, even if you hit send. Sounds to me like all you have done is just begin to create a new email account by adding a new user name but you have not the the rest that is required to establish the full new account. In order to do this you should follow the instructions given here:

So, I take it you are not using a mail client like Thunderbird or Office Outlook but are using the outlook.com Web mail in the browser, Correct? Else you'd get a full error message from the mail server which can be used to t-shoot better.

Have a look at: Cannot send email [WORKAROUND]

TT. Using outlook.com. Reading above replies, find that some instructions are not available - File>Accounts Settings are not shown on my screen. Certainly did not expect this would cause such hassle.

TT, I just unable to raise a new e-mail address in Outlook.com or should say unable to send an e-mail after raising an a new address. Message displays "There was an error while sending your message". I feel that it is due in complete ting the various boxes not with the correct entries.

RL There was an error while sending your message. No record of sent. Some Web sites ask for e-mail address, not wish to disclose my name as it is part of address and receipt of unwanted mail.

RL, thanks for your last response, yes indeed read and followed process, unfortunately it proved this far beyond my abilities to raise an account, though it is exactly what I am looking for. I use outlook.com through Microsoft account but have not a payment deal to use Outlook software.
BitLocker can only be used with Windows10 Pro and not version Home User. As a Home User BitLocker is not available in my case, splash out Pro or do without BitLocker.

Bobby, I don't know where Bitlocker has any reference to what your original Thread was but if you want to send an anonymous email - a simple Google will give you an answer.https://www.google.com/search?sourc...i22i10i30k1j0i13i30k1j0i22i30k1.0.hXrh3EX03As
There may be other simpler ways to achieve what you want to do but I don't think I will proceed to assist with your venture any further as it may contravene BBS Rules.

RL, I do not like Google and never have used it. I thought BitLocker was available for Windows Pro only, as my Windows is not the Pro version. I am really sorry to learn that you are no longer able to assist me in solving my predicament, BBS has rules to be followed. My thanks for your help as always.
