    Hi,

I run XPSP1 on a Soltek SL85DR2-C with PIV 2.4, 1 Gig Ram and Matrox Parhelia 128 Mb Driver Version 1.3

I have two AOC LM800 analog Flatscreen.

My problem is that the device manager under XP doesnt show me 2 Monitors.

I had trouble with the matrox card, still have, so I deinstalled and reinstalled various drivers a couple of times.

Now, the Puter is brandnew, and except that I disabled a few services, mainly network related, and bounced around with the matrox drivers, I didnt do anything else.

I can not get my second monitor to be seen in the device manager again.

    Question:

    1.
Are there sepecific services that need to be started for to be able to do that?

    2.
Genereally spoken, how can I get the second monitor to be seen under devices?

    P.S.

I can see both monitors under the matrox driver, means I get a stretched picture mode etc, but, as long as the second monitor is not listed in the device manager, other applications or games, like J. Bond Nightfire for example, who scan the device manager, will not run on both monitors.

    Any help is greatly appreciated!

Have you solved the problem? I had a similar problem trying to run two video cards to a monitor each - worked fine with 98, but both these weren't supported by XP. After much distress I bought a new dual monitor card. Have you checked that your card is XP compatable?
