Asking about a phone backup file that is encrypted.

I would like to first ask if I may ask for help on this web site regarding finding out what an old backup password is.

The backup is for my iphone, done through my laptop pc, from ITunes. I did some research via a Google search & read several articles on the matter. I read about how some third party applications, like, "PhoneRescue", can help, but I ran into a wall when trying to use it.

My laptop pc, is a windows OS, & my Iphone is an SE version.

If I can ask for help on these forums regarding this matter, please point me in the right direction for the appropriate sub section. I thank you. If not, then please, if known, inform me of the correct site in order to get help with this matter.

The main issue is I forgot the encrypted password, & tried past and present passwords, and methods I would use to make a password, to no success.

Have you tried the procedure in the first suggestion?
