Arie, checking if TLS is current in the Registry. My check: Start>Run - type regedit - enter> HKEY_Local Machine\System\CurrentControlset/Control\SecurityProviders\Schannel\Protocols - look for TLS Sub-key - Client -.
Shows only SL2 which is disabled by Default. There is no references to any TLS other then SL2..

That is correct. That's the only information that is supposed to be there.

Start>Run type regedit - HKEY_Localmachines\System\Currentcontrolset\Control\SecurityProviders\Schannel\Protocols look for TLS subkey client. TLS appears to be missing, showing only SL 2.

Arie, certainly shows many tables, that I can not understand. What then baffles me, as to the cause to sites not able to open or connect due TLS not present or available. This has become to complicated for me.

References shown, not appear in Registry, only in Internet 11 options, security and boxes are ticked.

Bobby, forget about the registry, you are looking for things that shouldn't be there.

If this test page https://www.ssllabs.com/ssltest/viewMyClient.html shows that TLS is working, it is working.

Please give examples pf websites where you encounter errors and the exact error you receive (take a print screen if possible).

RL, ComputerActive, they use short address for their free software snipca.com/reference number.(ie 216790). Some are very good and work very well.

Bobby, what specific browser are you using?
Have you tried any other browser?
Does your problem actually relate more about e.g. Link does not open in website?
If your magazine provides a link for you to connect to - is this where your problem stems from?

RL, I have less hassle with using Microsoft Edge, only if using IE 11. It appears not to remove IE 11 from computer, as it may cause other parts of Windows 10 to malfunction, according to Microsoft. I have always used Microsoft browser for easiness. The Magazine is the main item, but some other sites can do so, but not in the same scale. Can you please tell me if BBS now requires me to connect using password? as in the past, told not to close Cookies in BBS. Thanks, Bobby.

Bobby, in W10 the first choice browser is Edge (part of the MS OS).
Also included in the OS is IE. (this is the 2nd entry on my comp in Windows Accessories).

Bobby, when you Login to WindowsBBS, there is a check box asking whether to Remember or Stay logged in.
If you check this box - you will not be required to login each time you open WindowsBBS.

Bobby, there is no problem in downloading and installing an alternate browser which can be used to confirm or deny the problem you have Posted about.
An alternate browser may be used at any time for testing. You may be asked if you wish to make the browser your Default browser.
This will require making the change in Settings > Apps and Features > Default Apps > Web Browser.
You just click on the box with the chosen/current browser shown and another box will open giving you the choices of browsers.
You click on the browser you require to be your new Default and that will show immediately as the new browser and you can close out in the normal fashion.**

**Remember, it pays to Restart your comp to allow the changes to take place correctly.

I know your feeling of ease of use as my #1 browser has been Firefox for the last 14 years.
I have also tried Edge, IE, Opera, Chrome and a couple of others at odd times.
I just had reason to complain to a web supplier that a check box (to confirm order) was not visible and I was unable to complete the order.
Their email to me this morning suggested that my FF browser was the reason the check box did not appear and that I should use Edge or Chrome instead.

There will always be incompatibility problems and this is why I suggested you try another browser.
