1803 won't install, don't know if it has anything to do with the pending update, I have a PC 32 bit that originally came with vista, installed Win 10, no problems except these updates

Did you get full approval that W10 would operate OK in your Vista comp?
There may be components in your Vista comp that need updating to functionally handle W10.
    Have you update your drivers?
    Installed ALL updates?
Disabled 3rd. party Anti-virus (if installed)?

no 3rd party anti virus, the W10 was originally done as clean install, all the updates worked until that 1709 came out.I think all the drivers are up to date. the may update of 1709 is never able to install although the June update did. Maybe I should do a pc reset? I tried the tweaking program recommended on this site

What version of W10 did you install? Home or Pro or?
    Was this a Retail OS?

Nice to see it's back to normal.
If you find messages (Notifications) requesting a Restart, it has been my experience that clicking on the Restart is a preferred action rather than think - I've just started the comp why should I Restart it?
It may delay your use for a moment or so but it may be necessary to complete an MS action. Works for me.;)
