Yesterday (4-18-18) I was offered the this update over & over again. it shows that it is installed from update page, but it is not in installed programs>installed updates. For now I just hide it so it does not keep showing up. I look on MS site about problems with this update but it did not show that there were/was any problems with this update.

    Thank you

Note this problem seems to be affecting "some" W7 users only.

I run Win 7 and most of the Updates fail. Including today's KB284826. Not even worth doing Updates anymore.

Do you mean KB 4 284826 if so I got the "try again error" I just left it alone, it did install itself the next day, I just checked to make sure it installed.

Yes, that's the same one. It failed. I never get a "try again error". My updates download, install, the tell me to restart the computer. Then I wait while it reboots and tells me the Update failed. Then attempts to reboot about three times. Have read many possible fixes for Win 7/ Update problems. Most of which are over my head.

Go to control panel>system security>windows updates> installed updates and see if the up date shows up in there.

Checked update history and I see that KB4284826 downloaded successfully on 6/13/2018 on my W7 system. So did KB4093118, on 4/12/2018
