16299.334 is the latest OS build. I would try for the latest MS Update.
Under Settings > Accounts > Sign in > is it set to Never?
In Updates and Security > Advanced options > Delivery Optimization > PC's on my Network (only)?

Yes! 16299.334 is the latest OS build - I have that installed on this comp (24/03/2018) and my HP Notebook (31/03/2018).
It was just installed on my wife's comp 3 hours ago!

I wonder whether you have received part of the update from a PC in your area which has the Education version?
I would uninstall the update you received to go back to the previous update.
As I suggested - I would Shut down the comp - Reboot and go to Updates and check for the KB4089848 Cumulative update.
If it doesn't download - get it here: https://support.microsoft.com/en-nz/help/4089848/windows-10-update-kb4089848
This should install and possibly restore to your correct Windows Version.

Did you read this section and follow the link?

This update will be downloaded and installed automatically from Windows Update. To get the standalone package for this update, go to the Microsoft Update Catalog website.

Have you had any luck yet?
The latest Cumulative update I have which installed on the 11/04/2018 is KB4093112 and is now OS Build 16299.371
Have you done a RESTART - not just a Shutdown of your comp?

    John,

Retired Learner is in the upside down part of our world and I suspect that his day/date form is probably reversed from ours. His "11/04/2018" would be April 11 in our part of the world.

John, if you hover your mouse over my avatar you should see where I reside. We do not use the American date system - hence 11th. April 2018. has been and gone. ;)
Nice to see you're sorted out. Now I have to sort out my wife's comp - she's lost the boot file in W10 and her comp won't start!
