    Hi folks.
I installed a second screen to my PC. It has been working fine for a couple of months now without any issues.
Recently though it won't come off screen saver when I goto my PC. The first one works fine but the second one flashes for about 5 minutes (varies). When It finally starts it stays on as it should.

    Can anyone help?

Make sure cables are tightly connected. If so, then swap cables on monitor and see if the problem moves with the cable, or stays with the same monitor.

Bill did as you said and the fault stayed with the monitor. Think I'll update the driver.

As both monitors are fed from the graphics card I would look at updating the drivers or re-installing the card. You could also try switching the monitors around in Display Properties and see if the issue is reproduced on the 'new' secondary monitor.

Since it used to work fine, and since the problem stayed with monitor when you swapped cables, that points to a bad monitor.

Drivers don't suddenly go bad so I fail to see how it could be that. If you want to be certain, put that suspect monitor on another computer and see what happens.

Thanks Bill. I'd come to that conclusion also.
Need to dig out my other PC.

    Cheers for now.
