    Gateway FX6850, Windows 10 (Up to date).Installed 2 SSD's (Samsung 860 Pro-512 GB and San Disk (240GB).

Boot up is from Samsung and works fine. Also running Macrium Reflect for backups.

The BIOS line (DEL for setup, F12 for boot device) during boot does not show at all. Only change
i made was for F12 boot device (Samsung).
And I don't see the selection screen for Macrium Reflect. Which should appear after BIOS and before windows starts.
I have uninstalled Macrium, using REVO, rebooted and re-installed it to no effect.

Both SSD's and HD are working great.

Any suggestions on why this may be and maybe a fix??

    Thanks,
    Clif

Do the F keys work anyway?

    TonyT,

    No.
I get the Gateway screen (no bios options) the spinning balls then the Win10 OS. That's it.
Plus, with the SSD, its very fast. Maybe 15-20 seconds from Power on to OS.

    Thanks for replying, TonyT

I just did a Google on how to get into Gateway BIOS and the answer was to use the F1 keyboard key ASAP after boot?

My Gateway uses the F12 for boot menu and the Del key for entering setup.
    F1 did nothing.

After the power on boot up (no line), if i go to settings>recovery>restart then the bios line will show on screen.

If for some reason windows dont start properly, then i'll never be able to get to the bios.

    thanks,

I went google on entering bios from within windows 10 and found a few interesting topics. The first hit is an ASUS FAQ but it shouldn't matter. It seems like Fast Startup prevents entering BIOS via the "correct key" during startup. Doing a "hard shut down" (shift key + shut down) disables Fast Startup and during the following startup, hitting the "correct key" should get you into BIOS.

(As a side note, I haver disabled Fast Startup permanently because I'm not in such a hurry that a few seconds makes a difference.)

If that doesn't do the trick, check the other hits.

Yep!! Good detective work Christer :):):):):)

I, also disabled fast start. With SSD it don't take much longer to get up and running.

    Thanks (again) Guys...
