    Hi guys

This is for sharing of my experience. I have updated win10 in 3 laptops using update assistant to v1703. It was done months ago and the whole process is predictable, good inspite of the hours of complete overhaul of win10!

Then recently i try to use the same to update of the latest version fo1709. In one laptop i have to retry once and it went ok. Its usual predictable response requires a restart with the final "Hi".

However on another laptop, the retry failed many times, the last response was frightening, almost a fatal error that need repair. Lucky on restart, it was back to v1703. I can try the download as suggested in one of the thread but i hope microsoft can look at this to see what need to be fixed in the assistant.

    Ok guys

I persisted by 1st doing a system clean up. Then still using win10 update assistant i redo the download, verify and update again - all fresh start. (by the way the reference in one of threads i referred to above is actually to win10 update assistant download & not the iso image of the autumn version)

It went straight all the way to greet with the new "Hi".

Also i am happily surprise that this new new experience took less than 5 hours, very fast compared with my over night experience from 2015 version to 1703 few months ago.

I believe the leftovers gave some problems so the system clean really help.
