Resolved win 10 update1709

    win 10 update1709 has tried to install 5 times and failed all times . have ran trouble shooter on updated still no help????

    Have you recently installed new Software and Hardware?
    Any peripherals running that could be disconnected?

    Hi rkfjr. Try downloading build 1709 from this link and see if you can get it to install, Download Windows 10.

    Seen this same complaint with local clients twice this last week. In both cases, the client got impatient, thought the computer was hung up and forced a shutdown which resulted in the update failing.

    My advice, start the update and go out to dinner, go to bed, watch a movie - just leave it alone.

    After several hours, each came back to a sleeping computer. Upon waking, they were greeted with prompts to continue with the update and a reboot or two later, were good to go.

    Note 1709 is the HUGE Fall Creators update. In effect, it is almost a full update of Windows 10. It can take a couple hours to complete.
