Finally the latest Win 10 update reached my laptops, a couple of months after the main box.

    Noticed something very odd though.

The Settings page on my main box and on one laptop shows the following:

System, Devices, Phone, Network & Internet, Personalization
Apps, Accounts, Time/Language, Gaming, Ease of Access
    Cortana, Privacy, Update & Security

The other laptop is almost identical but on the bottom row the legend and the sequence is different

    Privacy, Update & Security, Search

Not really a big deal as everything is there. Indeed, at least one laptop seems to accept that I do not, even in my wildest dreams, want Cortana per se. I suspect that, for some reason, I must not have specified a language for Cortana so the option disappeared. The sub-pages for Permissions & History and so on are still available, all that is different is that the Talk to Cortana option is replaced by Language.

Hi Alan, the only suggestion I have is to check that the OS build is the same on all your comps. This comp is my main comp and the OS Build is 16299.125.
My HP Notebook is 16299.98. and the wife's comp is 16299.64 but the layout on the Settings is the same as you Posted.;)
Obviously there will be updates to bring all of our comps to the OS build of my main one. We have never had Cortana available in the Southern Hemisphere!
Except for my W10 Preview Insiders OS but it was removed by MS when they detected my location.:eek::rolleyes:
