    Hi great guys

According to some source, if all devices on your network have the same problem with the Internet it is likely an issue with the cable or DSL modem, network router, or ISP. - THIS IS MY PROBLEM. (If only one computer is disconnecting and reconnecting, it's likely a problem with the computer)

More importantly, the download of a website is slow and some images don't resolved as if there is no data movement or it has stopped. Also when these problem occur, the two green lights for internet are not stable. They problem cause buffering most of time even for a small video.

So how do i diagnose & try to fix this problem. In your experience what is the most likely cause.

I don't think it is the cable because the problem is with the wifi all the time.
I doubt it is the router cum modem as it is quite new but i think i would try here too. Any idea how?

As for the ISP what can i do?

    1. Disconnect ALL wifi devices and test using one computer with a wired connection. If connection problems persist then the cause is the router, the modem or ISP.

    2. Your ISP may have you do this:
    a. disconnect all devices.
    b. connect a computer to the modem and eliminate the router and test connections.
    c. if all good then the router is the cause of problems (bad router or mis-configured).

    3. No matter what, call the ISP. They can send a tech who can test the connection to the house and test signal strength to the house, and correct if necessary.

Note: when doing testing yourself: The sequence for changing the setup is always:
    1. power OFF modem and router.
    2. power ON modem, wait until it syncs with headend.
    3. power ON router, wait until it syncs with modem.
    4. connect comp.
This sequence MUST be followed each time the setup is changed.

The ISP's technical support can run system checks and line checks to determine if there are any issues between them and your computer that might be causing the issue. They may also have other suggestions for fixing the connection.
