This is very simple to follow and just needs a Restart to complete OS changes.

 

Wonder why the other two aren't listed there also? SMBv2 and SMBv3

Great to know. I noted the following from retiredlearner's link:

When I checked my laptop, W10 Pro, which I upgraded to the Fall Creator Edition (1703), the Windows feature SMB 1.0/CIFS File Sharing Support block is still checked. I had to clear the block and restart. After the restart, the block is still listed but it is now unchecked.

So - apparently the Fall Creators Update doesn't remove the SMBv1 automatically as indicated.

Added after above post - After a bit more research, perhaps I don't have the "Fall" Creator's Upgrade - only the Creator Upgrade.

I know it says that they are secure because I read the article. I wonder why it isn't listed without having to dig around to find it? I wonder if SMBv1 was listed from day 1? Of course it would have been nice if MS would have including fixing this on an updated also.

 

I had to go the registry route in Windows 7 Ultimate. I did a search of the registry and could not find SMB3 or 3.

 

Did you open the link to see what still lists the SMBv1?

My brand of Modem/Router was listed when I checked and I found it was still a Windows Feature in operation. I unchecked it and everything still works on the home comps OK.
I wouldn't imagine the later SMBv2/3 would be provided for W7 - too old.

It's 8 years old (introduced July 22nd 2009) and only has another 2 and a half years of extended support.
