    Hi,

    I have a general question:

Does anyone know where Office XP is storing the product key which was entered at time of its installation?

I'm just courious where it is located on the HDD or in the Windows XP registry, because I wasn't able to find it unlike the product key used to activate Windows XP.

    Regards,

Download and install the Enterprise version of AIDA32 from Here

When installed run and look under the Software>Licences info for your Product Key for Office.

Interesting...Office 2000 shows the product key for the Office Suite in each Office application under Help>About. Did that get changed in Office XP?

cd with office xp pro vs. product key

    Hello,

could you take a position on this, please?

I have a (legal) product key to MS Office XP Pro, but my installation cd is phisically damaged and I had to borrow one from a friend.
Unfortunatelly, at time of installation Office XP approves the key, but after starting for instance Word for the fist time it say that the product key is invalid.

Do you have an idea what could get wrong with it?

    TIA,

    ralfska
