Computer is listed in my System Specs can access the internet wired or wireless. When I powered the machine on this AM I was unable to access the internet wirelessly. Went to Network and Sharing Center\Change Adapter Settings to try and enable the option it does not enable. I highlight my wireless network name my signal strength is Excellent. I reset the Cable Modem and router. Went into Device Manager Uninstalled the drivers the reinstalled them. CMD ipconfig /release and then ipconfig /renew. nothing seems to work. The only thing I didn't try was uninstalling the drivers in Device Manager powering down, removing the wireless card and rebooting with out card. Powering down again reinstalling the card powering up let the drivers be detected to see if that fixes the problem. Before pulling the card I thought maybe some one might have an easier solution. Qualcomm Atheros AR5BWB222 Wireless Network Adapter.

Try Network & Sharing Center > Manage wifi networks > remove all of them. Then try connecting newly to your wifi network.

Are you using any wifi security? If so, access the router from another computer or by wire and set the wifi to Open, no WEP or WPA, no pass code required. Then try to connect. If get joy, remove the wifi network again in Network & Sharing Center, access the router from another computer or by wire and set wifi security; try to connect again.

The linksys router Web page? If so then you are not logging in as an admin or the router is kaput.

If when you access the router using a Web browser, and you cannot see all the tabs of the router control panel, then something else is wrong with your computer. Can you access the router and change the settings from another computer? If so, do what I suggested above.

I installed the router software again and that fixed everything. Now all is well. Thanks TonyT and retiredlearner
