    Hello,

I'm setting up my ThinkPad T43 for Windows XP gaming, but unfortunately I've hit a minor snag with some things. Basically, I get the error message in the title when running a few installers or patchers; the one I can remember right now is the 3.9.68 patch for Championship Manager 01/02.

I know there are a zillion hits for this on the web, but there's no sign of an autorun.inf on C:/, I deleted the setup.exe registry key and it made no difference, and I even deleted an autorun.inf that was strangely located in another game's folder - still get the error message. Never seen this happen on ANY other PC, even though I've used the exact same image and the same software as I have on other systems, so it's very odd. An anti-virus scan came back clean, but I'm 99% sure it did this on a previous install as well, which was on a different hard drive.

    Any ideas?

Yep, CM 01/02 supports XP just fine. I've run that game on at least half a dozen XP systems over the years and never saw this issue.
