I would like to print within contents of a data base, to high light figures and words in red. Can this be done preferred on a permanent basis?

I don't use Libre Office, but within all MS Office program, you can change text color or highlights. You should be able to do that with Libre Office too.

Thank you for responses. I am unable to see reference to change [Temp -1c] black to red within the body of text in a Database. I have seen it else where, so it can be done but not in my case.

Hi Bobby, I currently use Libre Office 5.2.6.2 (x64) (in my HDD upgrade from W7 to W10) and a document I had previously saved, I opened and changed the text in 3 separate lines to RED, BLUE and GREEN. I printed that document and the colours showed without problem. I just highlighted the line I wanted and opened the Font colour icon and selected the colour I wanted and clicked on the line of text - done. Did each the same way, then clicked on the Print icon and OK'ed Print.
When I closed Libre - I was asked whether to Save changes or not. (your choice). Make sure that Auto is unchecked in the Colour Font. I hope this is what you wanted to verify. Neil.

Neil, thank you for response, appreciated. It certainly appears to be what is wanted and will respond again when I try it out. Bobby.

Neil, I checked out your suggestion, unable to find the font colour chart. Can you please tell me as to where the location is in Libre Office?

Bobby, when you open Libreoffice writer, do you see a Menu line and 2 icon ribbons? The lower ribbon has the Font Colour icon. Just hover your mouse over the icons to read what they are. Click on the downward arrow head to open the icon which will display all the colours and click on the selection you want. The line/s of text you highlighted will immediately change to the colour requested and then click outside the highlighted area to set and then carry on. I find this works seamlessly for me every time. Neil.

Neil, I go to Download Shortcuts and click the screen showing all Data Bases saved on HD. Clicking the Data Base required goes straight to the LibreOffice last page saved. Screen does not show a Menu or download arrow. I have seen this done, but as usual now fail as to find procedures needed.

    Where is this in W10?
If I click on a Document (saved in Documents) it is opened in Libreoffice Writer with FULL usage.
If I write/copy a document - it is Saved in Documents in File Explorer.
I do not have Download Shortcuts showing in File Explorer in W10 Pro.
Your reference to Data Bases is Documents??? Are we talking the same W10 language??
Libreoffice is the only software for writing in use in this comp. It is set to DEFAULT and therefore opens any document I click on. I can still use MS Notebook and Wordpad if I choose. Neil.

All databases each for one calendar year, all are saved to one specific Hard drive. Clicking HD and Database there in, opens the LibreOffice at last saved session. What is wanted, to high light a word in a colour to stand out from the rest of the contents for that day. Menu is not shown in LibreOffice.

Sounds like you will need to put the specific document into your main OS HDD/SSD to enable full operation of your Libreoffice. I'm no expert in how the interaction between drives works, but I would think that your saved Data in a separate HDD/SSD is not working/opening your Libreoffice software in your main drive.
Why not try this: Right click on the document in your specific drive and send/copy-paste to your main drive Documents folder. Once it's there, Double click to open it and see if Libreoffice fully opens it to enable any changes you want to make.

Everything works fine with LibreOffice other that I can not find how to carry out the correct procedure.
