Hi, this computer used to auto open a box to choose where I wanted to save pictures to when I pluged my smart phone to a UBS port. now it does nothing? I tried setting auto play to open pictures with windows but still no box pops up when i plug in the phone to the UBS?

Is your phone recognized in Explorer? Is the phone set to Android Debugging? Hash code *#0808# (Samsung) where it should be set to MTP or MTP+ADB.

Newer android versions did away with MTP.
The default when connecting a phone is "Charging".
After connecting the phone to computer, swipe down from top of phone and tap USB notification and then tap one of the transfer options.
Open Windows Explorer and if phone icon is displayed then double click it.
