I use windows 10 insider preview and it just upgraded,,now the URL address in my shortcuts are no longer being put into chrome and the app will not run..Example: my short cut properties is: https:\\getpocket.com/a/queue/ and
this is pasted into Chrome: file:///C:/Users/jb/AppData/Local/Microsoft/Windows/INetCache/IE/N1RHEOFX/queue[1]...
Whats going on..this happening to anyone.?.
(May be that I'm using chrome and MS wants me to use Edge) Ha.
This just started happening after the recent upgrade.
    Thanks,
    Ramjet

In the "Ask me anything" search box - type Default Apps and make sure CHROME is your default web browser.

    Hi S.,
Yep everything is checked..Here is an example of the problem: If I want to log into my G-Mail, the properties in my Icon are: Gmail, But what is put into the chrome address bar is:
file:///C:user/jb/appdata/local/microsoft/windows/inetcache/ie/fiaznrgo/mail[1] This brings up the secure gmail sign in page..Takes bout 2 minutes to get signed in to my gmail account.
This all happened after a recent upgrade (did work fine before that) Now as a test, I set EDGE as my default browser and it take me to gmail almost instantly.
I don't like EDGE..Chrome did work..Anyone know what is going on and a work around for this problem ???
