Hoping for some help here since i cannot find what i'm looking for on the web (I know its there some
    where) :)

I have a bunch of MP4 videos that are 2 channel stereo only.
Just bought a logictech speaker system with 5.1 speakers. What I'm trying to do is to convert above videos
to output 5.1 channels. I have tried Handbrake, Any video converter, and others without hitting the right
combination for accomplishing what i want.

    i.e. MP4, 2 channel into M4V, 5.1 channel.

Any video/audio converter experts out there?

    Thanks for any help,

Glad you figured it out. Little incite to what it was may help somebody else down the road with the same or similar problem.

trick was to set the parameters for what u wanted as the output. output type (aac, ace3, etc), # of channels and so on.
Not all types will provide 5.1 channels. The program resets itself each time it starts so parameters have to be reset each
time program runs. I used "Any Video Converter" a freebie, only 1 nag screen.
