Just received KB3200970 Cumulative update and I had to reset several Defaults. Browser had gone to Edge from FF. Email had to be set back to TB. Media needed rest to VLC. Be prepared for App Defaults upsets. No big deal - just a few seconds to correct otherwise all seems OK.

No issues here with that latest update - all default apps as set previously.

No defaults changed here either - still at IE11 and Outlook 2007.

There were no changes to my HP Notebook running W10 Home when the update installed. Just my main comp running W10 Pro and it was no biggy. There's always a 1st time for these hiccups.

Unfortunately, I have a problem with the KB3200970 Cumulative Update. Two of my three computers (all running Win10) swallowed the update without problems. But on a third, a Dell D630, I have a program that was running fine since the original conversion from Win7 to Win10 (pro), but now it will not even fully load, giving the error message shown below.

I've tried fully uninstalling the program and reinstalling it twice since, and this message continues to come up, and the program does not load.

There is a newer version of this software that I have running on my other computer, but it has its own quirks. Does anything in this error message suggest what I should do to fix it?

Have you tried using Windows Compatibility Troubleshooter in Security and Maintenance?

Not specifically, because this software had run previously with no problem in the current settings for months. Something had to change with the installation of the Win10 update. This computer wasn't in much use at the time, and the only thing that happened which was significant was that update.

If nobody can see anything in the error message that gives a clue as to what is going on, I'll probably upload the newer version of the software and see if it fixes it. But it is very frustrating when Microsoft puts out an update, and the update stops software from even loading, where before the update it was working perfectly.

I gave up trying to fix the software that was not able to start up after the KB3200970 Cumulative Update. I uninstalled it and installed a later version, and so far that works okay.

Well I am one of the unfortunates with KB3200970. My Mail in Win 10 is now doing a pop up, a window showing program language symbols. I too uninstalled KB 3200970 which cleared up pop windows, alas a few minutes later Microsoft reinstalled it together with Pop ups. On using Virginmedia own mail this error is not present.
