    Hi friends

I have a Dell Latitude with a win10.pro.64bit installed WORKING. I tried to update with Win10 Anniversary. I had failed at least twice, all ending with a "Restoration to previous version. "

In the Setting > Update & Security > Window Update > Advanced Options, the History of Updates shows that there were numerous attempts by the system to install "Cumulative Update for Windows 10 Version 1511 for x64-based Systems (KB3185614)" that failed.

I now downloaded the ISO image, i presume it is the 1907 . win10 Anniversary.setup and is contemplating to use it to install but is very concerned i lose the Activation of my current working win10.Pro.

My other fear is it will get stuck wasting lot of time on OS. What is your prognosis?

My experience is limited but it seems like doing the upgrade "automatically, on-line" is more prone to failure than doing it off-line, from an installation medium created by the MediaCreationTool. I let the MCT create it on a USB-flashdrive. When running it, I disconnect from the internet and when done, I reconnect to the internet and restart to get it searching for any additional updates. It has never failed but as I mentioned, my experience is limited.

The ISO is my preferred upgrade route always with major update especially.

Thanks friends. Since both of you walked before me, was the activation status faulted by this 1907 ISO Setup.
