In every search I have done I have been shown how to set up a flash drive to update from W8 or W7 using a flash drive. I have W10 installed on three PCs (1 desktop and 2 laptops) I have updated the desktop and one laptop to the new anniversary edition. I would like to upgrade the second laptop using a flash drive since I will be in an area with no Internet connection. I have downloaded the ISO, but need an education as to how to use same. Please treat me as a newbie in any response. Thank you.

I downloaded the MediaCreationTool and selected to create a USB-flash drive, not an ISO. Get the tool and run it on a computer with Windows 10. When I tried on a computer with Windows 7, it didn't detect the flash drive.

I used the media creation tool for the original upgrades to W10. Is this a newer version of MCT?

I checked the properties and it's for the 1607 version, build 14393, if you download from that link. If you use an old link, you get an old version, I think.

Thanks, but don't I have to be online when using MCT?

Yes but when the installation media has been created, the upgrade can be done off-line.

I always do it off-line. When running the upgrade from the flash drive and when asked if updates should be downloaded, the answer is "not now" or words to that effect.
