iPlayer not playing TV shows.

Bobby, I have the same type of Folder from my update to 1607. Very nearly all the vital ones are still operational in the system. MS issued a warning that this was part of the update process to avoid problems with the update. It has worked OK on all of mine. Neil.

 

Bobby: At least your Windows 10 is up and running. After I performed the Anniversary Upgrade 1607. My machine stayed on a black screen with a spinning circle of dots until it showed Checking Drive C:\ for errors. It ran 48 hrs. The machine restarted and I got the same black screen with the spinning circle of dots. I went for my 8 mile walk which takes me approximately 2hrs.15mins and when I got home it still had the same screen showing. I got frustrated so I pulled the drive and reinstalled the Windows 7 Ultimate drive. End of Win 10 Pro.

 

lj50, apparently I have still to face 1607 being installed by the wonderful MS. Unfortunately unable to return to Win 7 as my Disk drive refuses to operate in reading inserted CD's. It is about time, we rebel against MS or should we remember Win 10 was free, no longer £100 just to be mucked about at will.

 

Bobby Don't get me wrong I liked Win 10 Pro for what little time I got to use it. Makes you wonder if on older machines the anniversary upgrade may work that way by design. To either get you to buy a new machine with Win 10 preinstalled or now purchase the OS?

 

Lj50, again I agree with you hundred percent, MS has the monopoly as the number of users confirms this. MS decides what is best for us, end of matter. Buying Win 10, will it make a difference, not likely, how many times has MS said the buyer does not own the OS only the license to use it. The DVD/CD player fitted on my computer works fine, but only works if and when as though the driver has been set just to do so. Or as you say, buy a new computer and that I dare say so has probably been programmed to expire after a set time. People will no doubt disagree but the technology is capable of just doing this. Bobby.
