Suddenly computer required a Password to open computer operation. It appears Microsoft introduced a password, this required much guess work to find Password that turn out to be 22 characters long. What is procedure to change this password with a more manageable one. A picture appears now in the opening circle at startup, how can picture be removed if at all. This is the first instance where MS has changed the working of my computer or is this what to expect in the future. Thanks, Bobby.

Hi Evan thanks for your response. Password has now been changed to a much lower characters. Lock screen: my version of Windows 10 shows as "up to date ", probably means that I am 1607 and Block screen not available to be changed. Get fun : off Show background at sign on screen : off. However picture shown in round window is still shown with all sign in. Made hard copy of Disable Screen in Windows, following content is proving rather difficult to follow. Picture selected by Lock Screen was deleted in Picture and file folder now empty. Is this a common fault with Windows 10? Clicking the blue coloured Window icon, screen no longer shows the "Settings cog" to open the Settings window. How can I retrieve this. Thanks, Bobby.

For the Settings option that is missing from the Start Menu see this link, How to Add or Remove Folders on Start List in Windows 10.

I'm not sure what you are asking. Can you elaborate? The instructions that I provided for disabling the lock screen in build 1607 should work, you just need to take your time reading through the article.

Agree more study of instructions has now solved both procedures. Thank you for your help, most appreciated. Bobby.
