I downloaded the MediaCreationTool and attempted to create a bootable UFD but the UFD was not detected by the MCT. (The MCT for the previous version (1511) detects the UFD w/o problems.)

    Anyone else?

Hi Christer, I've previously had no problem with MCT and creating a DVD or USB but have never tried a UFD. Is that an option available to create? Neil.

UFD = "USB Flash Drive" and it's the option given in the MCT that I refer to. Previous versions of the MCT have worked for me too but not the 1607 version.

To upgrade my Asus Transformer Netbook (30GB SSD, no option in BIOS to boot from anywhere but the SSD and insufficient room on the drive) I used the Media Creation Tool to make a DVD which I placed in an external DVD drive and simply ran Setup.exe from there. All went well :)

I made the first attempt on my desktop, running Windows 7 Professional.

I copied the executable file via a USB-stick to my laptop, running Windows 10 Home. When running the MCT, the UFD was detected and the installation media was created.

Strange ... ... still "buggy" but I'll mark the thread as solved!
