Hi all, I'm new to this list so I beg your indulgence if this is a dumb question.

How can I restrict the printing of long "To:" address lists when printing an email in Outlook Express? I used to be able to do this, but now, after several updates, I can no longer find the handle. Today I printed out an email and got a full page of "To:" addressees. Arggghh!

My OS is Win2000 Pro with all the latest updates. I'm using Outlook Express 6.00.2800.1106. I find that I could update to OE 6.00.28.1128, but doubt that would help. I hope someone can help. Microsoft does not seem to address this question and I don't find it in this forum.

You can highlight what you want to print, then when you print, select "print selection ". Or you can highlight the c**p, and delete, then print...

    Hi dr_aero
Welcome to the boards. What if you were to highlight the text of the message that you wanted printed and just chose to print the selection, rather than the page?

True, you can move the stuff to an editable work sheet and then delete the unwanted stuff, or vice versa, but what a pain! Just another joy of working with Microsoft, I guess

Or you can do what I do....and put everyone in Blocked Sender's list that refuses to strip out the addresses before sending. ;)

Here's the work around that I have often used; select the message and then click on "Forward." The entire message will appear in the new screen, along with all the header info. You can edit and chop off parts that you don't want right there in the message body. Then highlight the rest and send it to your clipboard. Now here's where you may need extra help. I have a clipboard that allows me to print from it directly. There are several of those around, many free ones even.

Then of course, I close the Forward message screen without sending. That sounds like a lot of trouble I know but I can do it much faster than I can tell you about it. It's about a 5 second gig total.

That works for me just peachy. Actually I can just stack them in there, up to 50 clips, more if I change my settings, and then print them out later at my leisure, if such there ever be. :)
