In last few days I have upgraded quite a few systems from Win7/8 to Win 10.

While the upgrades went well, the biggest problem I faced was with Windows downloading/installing a lots of apps & running them in background. I had to waste half an hour on each user account just to get rid of these c-r-a-p apps which nobody uses & nobody wants.

Is there any easy way to tell Win10 that I don't want them and to do for each & every user account on the computer ?

Yes, I've done that a few moments ago on a brand new laptop.

How to remove all bundled apps in Windows 10

Have a good read. One action prevents future automated downloads, another cleans the computer from all installed apps on all user accounts.

My laptop seems to be squeaky clean ... ... but I don't know if the "prevention" works ... ... !

I continued working on the laptop this afternoon. When I started cleaning it from "clutter ", it was still the initial release, build 10240. After upgrading to build 10586 (version 1511), I had to run the procedure once again. It didn't get all the apps but the leftovers were easy to uninstall manually. Time will tell what the future holds ...... almost poetical, right?

So after every update one has to remove these idiotic apps once again :(.

Thank you MS for wasting my time.

After having been upgraded to 10586, a while later it received a few updates and that didn't mess things back to its "normal state of clutter ". My conclusion is that the "upgrades" bring "enhancements" which set things back.

Another "issue" is that people who use imaging as backup should disable "Fast Startup ". FS leaves the computer in a hibernated state which can/will cause problems if the system is imaged in that state. FS can be turned off (to shut down properly) but an "upgrade" sets it back to FS.
