Resolved Duplicate Start Menu

Is it possible to duplicate one start menu to another device?

My W10 PC's start menu is good. I have a new Surface Pro 4 and wish to easily duplicate my PC's start menu to it.

 

Your start menu shortcuts are located in a couple folders so I suppose you could copy them over to a new device, but I don't believe it would work as well or as easily as it sounds. This is because those shortcuts point to specific folder and file locations on your PC's hard drive(s). In order for them to work the same way on your Surface Pro, the drives, partitions, OS and program folder and file structures would have to be set up the same way or else those copied shortcuts would point to the wrong location and you would get a file not found error.

My advice is to manually do it. It will take longer, but it will be a one time deal - but will work when done.

 

I'm addressing tiles, not shortcuts.
