Resolved Win 10 update 1511

    well they did it again!
    update occurred (KB3119142), and now i can't use my HP Photosmart 8150 printer, and i can't find drivers for it on HP's website

    it even removed an app that apparently "will no long run" according to the pop-up box after the system rebooted itself

    ideas?

    I had KB3119142 installed 15/01/2016 and haven't suffered any problems!!
    What App did you lose? Have you tried rolling back to the previous driver for your HP Printer? Neil.

    actually i did a manual reinstall, since the drivers were "there ", it just took me a bunch of hunt and peck to find the right path.... i thank you for the rapid answer.

    You're welcome. I quite often get asked to insert the HP Printer install disc after a cumulative update. Just pop it in and whatever is needed is installed real quick. All painless. Don't forget you have Troubleshoot in your Control Panel which can be used to determine where a problem lies. Cheers Neil.

    actually "Troubleshoot in your Control Panel which can be used to determine where a problem lies. " didn't help at all, and i have to change this thread to unresolved.. because even though they are in the proper places, i got "Device not migrated" then this in the information box on the properties :
    Device SWD\PRINTENUM\{210A0D23-40D9-439C-B5A9-80770D730CD3} could not be migrated.

    what it all means i have no clue
