    Hi,

I have a compaq Armada M700 which has an ATI RAGE MOBILITY-P AGP (English) display adapter in it. (The standard as fitted)

I would like to set the system up so that I can use different displays on the laptop screen and the VGA outputs. One VGA output on laptop itself sometimes connected to a LCD projector and the other is on an ArmadaStation EM docking station that runs to a Mitsubishi Diamond Plus 200 monitor. Obviously I would not be using both outputs at the same time.

I seem to remember being told that Win2K could not do this, but some of the posts seem to suggest otherwise. I have searched and cannot find one that can help me.

    Thanks in advance.

    Terry

I'm not sure if this is a Win2k function or your laptop function. I have 2 Dell Laptops, and both of them can display on multiple monitors by using the function keys on the keyboard to switch between them. I can have just the LCE, just the VGA port, or both.

Fn and F4 should allow you to swap modes between internal/external/both on any Compaq laptop
