I installed the Ad Block Plus add on to IE and it seems to have solved my problem on both browsers. How I have know idea.

I've reinstalled some of the programs you asked to uninstall during the process and add some you had me remove to the start up list ad it still works.

I'm not marking this solved until I here your opinion. The way I see it is that I have something on my computer which causes the problem but that is blocked by the Add On. Why this happens in both browsers is well above my knowledge.

I'm happy to leave things as they are but if you have something quick you want to try let me know. Thanks for all your help.

It could indicate that your computer could still have some malware on it if ad block solved the problem.

The tools that you ran, found quite a lot of junk on your system so if you want to leave your computer be and not pursue this issue any further that's fine.

But if you still want to make sure your computer is clean of malware then you can create a new thread in the Malware and Virus Removal Forum and broni can take a look at your system.

That was exactly my feeling so I think I'll let Broni have a look. Do I mark this thread resolved?

You can mark this thread as resolved after your computer is declared clean.
