I was having a problem when I right click say on a drive in explorer I was getting a little circle for about 5 secs or so before the menu appears I have tried the solution in this link it did work http://www.eightforums.com/performance-maintenance/19373-right-click-menu-lag-my-pc.html
the item that was causing the problem was THEDESKTOPCONTEXTMENU CLASS I would like to know what this does and what other problems disabling it is likely to cause any help would be gratefully received.

Have you tried disabling your Kaspersky AV and set MS Defender as the Default AV to see if Kaspersky is causing the problem?
A Google search found several having this problem in W8.1 were caused by 3rd. party AV's.
You can always reset your own AV after a test to check.
I personally have used MS OS AV from XP through Vista, W7 and W8.1 to current W10 without any hassles. It works smoothly in the background and is not a Resources HOG!
You can Disable the THEDESKTOPCONTEXTMENU CLASS rather than Delete. You may need it sometime. Neil.

I did use the method described in the link and it was successful it does not appear to have caused any problems so far I will post back if any arise.
