shutdown & restart

    When I click the start/shutdown/restart button, my pc just shuts down.
    Anybody got any ideas?

    Are you able to choose a restore point to a time before this started happening? Have you got all your critical windows updates done?

    I seem to have sorted it now; I tried a couple of restore points but then I did a repair on intellipoint mouse and its been ok since.
