8.1 Event: PSA v4236 Preparing Automatic Repair in Endless Loop

    8.1 Dell Desktop in blue screen loop. Got into the event log. Only one event. It was at the time of failure. It read:

    "PASS PSA v4236 e PSA quick test pass. "

    what are my options?

    What model Dell is it and what's the service tag number? If you are offered the option to perform an automatic repair then run it. But be patient it takes a few hours to run and repair the system. Give this a read: Windows 8 Stuck In Auto-Repair Loop

    Sorry, suggestions did not work. Eventually repair discs did not resolve problem, either.
