Hello, I enjoy Facebook in particular the Jigsaw puzzles. Now, when I try to play them, it tells me that I need at least version 17 of Flashplayer to play and that I only have version 11.8. It gives me a link to use, I download the Flash Player but it doesn't seem to work, the game keeps giving me the screen to upgrade the flash player. Also when I try to install, it always asks me to close the firefox browser, which I have never had that happen before whenever I installed new versions. I also have tried to install wthout using the link, still not working. Can you help please?

    Thanks

Hi Mr. Bill, I've already used the link that you gave me. I downloaded the one for FP 20 Internet explorer ActiveX and the one for FP 20 for Firefox NPAPI, nothing seemed to work. Thank you for your help.

Just a silly question - you did install the update?
Have you Re-booted you comp since carrying out the install?
It should show in your Programs and Features as Version 20.0.0.235.
Are all your W7 MS updates installed? Neil.

Hi! I'm pretty sure they installed. During the downloading process, halfway through it switched to saying "installing" . Yes I rebooted, yes they are both showing in my Programs and Features and yes all MS updates have been installed. Thank you!

The Web browser MUST be closed and restarted after a Flash install/upgrade.
Also, delete the temp internet files, the page that's telling you to upgrade Flash is probably a cached page.

I recently went to the Adobe site, somewhere on it it has a "check" button to see what version I am using. It tells me that I am using Version 20. I just went to different website and it is also telling me that I am using version 11. Not sure what is going on. I deleted all temp internet files but still to no avail. Thank you everybody for your help so far. I've also noticed that in my "add-ons" manager, it is showing both versions of Shockwave Flash. Version 11 is showing as "Shockwave Flas is shown to be vulnerable and should be updated. Version 20 is there as well. If I choose "never activate on Version 11, then Jigsaw is telling me that there is no Flash version installed. I have left well enough alone at this point. Is this where the problem lies?

Have you went to Control Panel/Programs and Features and seen what it shows as installed?

These are from the Facebook FAQ's about Flash and Adobe. See if anything helps as there would appear to be many suffering this problem.

I do in fact have two "Flash's" showing in my add-ons. I tried to disable version 11 but it appears to disable both versions. I don't know how to delete the old version or just disable one. I am using Firefox, so I'm guessing its different than explorer. Thanks for all your help so far.
